Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the federal government for senior citizens, in addition to people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from your alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they can also get to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what sort of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
