Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, along with those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The one catch is, the person will need to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual needs to be hospitalized for their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
