If an inpatient center is the preferred rehabilitation option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits about how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very useful, as it can help include family members in the healing and process of recovery.
