Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the government for senior citizens, and also people with specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real catch is, the individual must obtain treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they can also get to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
