Medicare is a type of medical insurance created by the government for older persons, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin treatment, they can also get to see their physician who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
