TRICARE is health insurance that's offered to people in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is more common than one would assume, and the need to provide treatment to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a variety of treatment services to handle drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, in addition to treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will obviously have to obtain a prior approval before taking part in any sort of treatment service, which may be arranged using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility is the preferred rehab choice, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which is often very useful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehabilitation counselors ready to assist you today.
