TRICARE is medical insurance that's offered to individuals in the armed forces of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehabilitation services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence including detoxification services, and also rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Individuals with TRICARE will obviously have to get a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, which is often organized using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center will be the preferred treatment choice, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in this particular facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which is often very useful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled treatment counselors ready to assist you today.
