Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, and also people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the individual will need to acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual has to be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
