Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, as well as individuals with certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the person will need to acquire treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehab, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
