Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the U.S. government for senior citizens, as well as people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the person will need to acquire treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be hospitalized for issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
