TRICARE is medical insurance which is offered to folks in the military of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is more common than one would think, and the necessity to provide rehab to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a number of treatment services to handle alcohol and drug dependence such as detox services, in addition to rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will obviously need to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any kind of rehab service, which is often organized using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program will be the preferred treatment option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in this facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits about how long a TRICARE member can stay in the inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which can be very beneficial, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors waiting to assist you today.
