Medicare is a form of health insurance developed by the government for seniors, along with those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized because of their issue, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
