Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the government for senior citizens, along with people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the person will have to receive treatment from your alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehab, they may also have to see their physician who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual should be hospitalized for their issue, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
