Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the government for seniors, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the individual must obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence treatment, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for his or her issue, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they've got to self pay.
