Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, and also people with certain disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the person will need to obtain treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they can also get to see their medical doctor who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual has to be in a hospital for problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
