Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the government for senior citizens, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they can also get to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be in a hospital for his or her problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
