A group home for a person who has been involved in drug abuse is a facility which provides continual support and assistance for those in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled adolescents, but there are also group homes for those with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral problems for example. As opposed to sending individuals who are struggling with drug abusedrug use or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or another similar place, a group home may help offer an acceptable environment to help individuals sustain stability in their lives and also have counsel and support at their fingertips 24/7. Residents in the group home could be taking part in treatment services whilst in residence, or could possibly be taking actions to get their life set up outside the group home in order to at one point live on their own outside of the group home.
