Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, and also individuals with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the individual must acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehab, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
