TRICARE is health care insurance that's offered to people in the military of the United States. TRICARE covers a number of rehabilitation services to address drug and alcohol dependence like detoxification services, in addition to rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People who have TRICARE will obviously be required to get a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, which can be arranged using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center will be the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits as to just how long a TRICARE member can stay in the inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very helpful, as it can certainly help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled treatment counselors ready to help today.
