Dual diagnosis rehabs are facilities which deliver treatment to address both mental health and addiction issues simultaneously. Treatment counselors will continue to work to recognize environmental factors in the client's life such as negative people in their lives or other things that should be addressed in order for the person to remain mentally healthy and abstinen t after they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral rehabilitation which will help them develop more effective coping methods so that they are able to better deal with life circumstances more effectively after they leave dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to returning to drugs as a possible option.
