Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which provide rehabilitation to deal with both mental health and addiction issues at the same time. Rehabilitation counselors will work to spot environmental factors in the client's life such as negative relationships or any other things that should be addressed in order for the person to remain mentally stable and sober t once they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral rehab which will help them develop far better coping mechanisms so they are better able to deal with life circumstances more proficiently after they leave dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to turning to drugs as an inferior answer.
