TRICARE is health care insurance which is provided to people in the armed forces of the United States. TRICARE covers a number of treatment services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence including detox services, and also treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will obviously have to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, which can be arranged using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program could be the favored rehab option, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in this particular center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits about just how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very useful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery.
