A group home for someone who has tbeen involved with drug and alcohol abuse is a place which provides continuous support and help for individuals in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled youth, but there are also group homes for those with a mental health disorder or who are encountering behavioral trouble for example. As opposed to sending those who are experiencing drug abusedrug use or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar facility, a group home may help provide an acceptable environment to help individuals sustain stability in their lives and also have counsel and support within reach around the clock. Residents in the group home could possibly be taking part in rehab services whilst in residence, or may be taking measures to get their life setup outside of the group home in order to at one point live on their own outside of the group home.
