Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether or not somebody qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify simply because they earn an acceptable income. For example, people who have many dependents may qualify for Medicaid even though they earn what would be considered a reasonable income. If someone is involved in drug use and wants help, they're able to use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have the money or any other kind of medical health insurance to cover rehabilitation, they could see if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug treatment facility that's approved inside their state.
