Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, along with people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be hospitalized for his or her problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
