Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the government for older persons, in addition to individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real exception is, the individual must obtain treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual must be hospitalized for problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
