Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the government for older persons, as well as individuals with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual must be hospitalized for his or her issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
