Medicaid is a type of health care insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether or not someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on their earnings however, and individuals shouldn't assume they don't qualify just because they earn a fair income. Certain states only cover outpatient rehab services as an example while other states cover far more extensive treatment like a residential stay in long-term drug treatment facility. If anyone is involved in substance abuse and needs help, they could use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and also don't have the money or another type of medical insurance to pay for treatment, they can determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility that is approved within their state.
