Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
