Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be hospitalized for their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
