Dual diagnosis rehabs are facilities which deliver treatment to handle both addiction and mental health concerns concurrently. Rehabilitation counselors will continue to work to spot environmental factors in the client's life such as negative people in their lives or other things which need to be addressed in order for the person to stay mentally stable and abstinen t whenever they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab which will help them develop more efficient coping methods so that they are able to better handle life situations more proficiently if they leave dual diagnosis rehab rather than returning to drugs as an inferior solution.
