Medicaid is a health care insurance available for many people who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance. Whether or not an individual qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and individuals shouldn't assume they don't qualify simply because they earn a fair income. For example, men and women who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid regardless of whether they earn what would be described as a fair income. There are many alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs which accept Medicaid, but various states have different rules for what forms of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehab services for example while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. If a person is involved in drug abuse and wants help, they're able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and also don't have the funds or another kind of health care insurance to cover treatment, they can check if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug and alcohol rehab center that's approved inside their state.
