Medicaid is a type of medical insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance. Whether someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only determined by income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they make a fair income. For instance, people who have quite a few dependents may qualify for Medicaid even though they earn an amount be considered a fair income. Medicaid also can cover the expenses of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing drugs or alcohol and requires rehab. There are many drug treatment centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what kinds of treatment are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehab services for example while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation like a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug treatment program. If anyone is involved in substance abuse and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have enough cash or any other type of medical health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they can find out if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehab facility which is approved in their state.
