Self pay might be the only option for those who need rehab within a drug and alcohol treatment facility for substance abuse but have no medical insurance. It isn't uncommon for someone dependent on drugs or alcohol to not have private medical health insurance, as it can be challenging to maintain an alcohol or drug habit going while also keeping work. If an individual has to self pay for treatment and doesn't have private health care insurance, it is in their best interests to look into Medicaid to find out if they qualify, whenever they haven't already done this. Should they have no other option but to self pay, individuals and their families can normally come up with the money to cover treatment some way. Luckily, many alcohol and drug treatment programs will work with folks whose only choice is to self pay to make it more possible for them to participate in a quality drug and alcohol treatment center. There are payment assistance options available at many drug treatment programs that qualified clients can benefit from.
