Medicare is a form of health insurance developed by the government for older folks, and also individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual should be in a hospital because of their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
