People who decide on an outpatient rehab will ordinarily take part in meetings and take part in counseling and treatment services on a part-time basis on a daily basis or several days weekly. This is often helpful for those who have recently completed a far more complete inpatient or residential program as an effective aftercare or maintenance step, and for someone with just a brief history of drug use which is usually a very small amount of clients. For an individual with more severe drug abuse and dependency problems, inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment centers which provide rehabilitation over a long-term basis are going to be the more effective treatment choice.
