Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the federal government for seniors, along with individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from your alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be hospitalized for his or her issue, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
