Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they can also get to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be hospitalized for their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
