Partial day rehabs are centers where individuals receive substance abuse rehabilitation services during the day and then go back home on a daily basis when rehabilitation is finished. Partial day rehab may also be preferred over a more intensive plan requiring either an inpatient stay in a medical facility or even a residential stay in a residential drug rehabilitation program or therapeutic community. This is primarily because it provides a great deal of flexibility so that the individual can keep up with their responsibilities and regular way of life while still receiving treatment services. Partial day rehab is also a cheaper option, because clients are only paying for the rehab as opposed to the amenities required in an inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab program. The majority of partial day rehabs provide rehabilitation within a clinic or mental health hospital or clinic, and these facilities deliver the normal rehab services that might normally be offered in almost any other typical alcohol and drug treatment facility. Partial day rehab also is a beneficial aftercare selection for a person who has already finished rehab within an inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program. This can provide additional support and recovery services needed for many who wish to have this outlet while they manage to get their lives back to normal.
