Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, in addition to people with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be in a hospital because of their problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
