Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older folks, in addition to people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual must obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehab, they will also have to visit their physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be in a hospital because of their problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
