Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the government for seniors, and also people who have certain disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their issue, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
