TRICARE is medical insurance which is provided to individuals in the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is more common than one would think, and the need to offer rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers numerous treatment services to handle drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, as well as rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People with TRICARE will of course need to have a prior authorization before taking part in any type of treatment service, that may be arranged using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility could be the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits concerning how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which may be very useful, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional rehabilitation counselors ready to help you today.
