Self pay is often times the only option for individuals who need rehabilitation within a drug treatment program for drug abuse but haven't any medical health insurance. It isn't uncommon for a person hooked on alcohol or drugs not to have private medical insurance, as it can be tough to have a drug or alcohol habit going while also maintaining employment.
