Medicare is a form of health insurance developed by the government for older persons, as well as people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the person will need to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin treatment, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual should be in a hospital for their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
