A group home for someone who has tbeen involved with drug abuse is a facility which offers continual support and help for those in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled adolescents, but there are also group homes for people with a mental health problem or who are experiencing behavioral trouble for example. Rather than sending people who are being affected by drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or another similar facility, a group home may help provide an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability in their lives and have counsel and assistance at their fingertips around the clock. People who reside within a group home might be taking part in rehabilitation services while in residence, or may be taking actions to get their life setup outside of the group home so that they can at some time live on their own not in the group home. For instance, a troubled youth who has been in recovery or has recovered from substance abuse can try to get their GED or obtain employment. A group home is certainly not a long-term or permanent answer, but it's a feasible temporary option for many who are trying to get their lives back together again.
