Medicare is a type of medical health insurance created by the federal government for older folks, along with those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual must acquire treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they will also have to see their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual needs to be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
