Medicare is a type of medical insurance developed by the government for senior citizens, as well as those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person will need to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehab, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be in a hospital for their issue, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
