Research shows that women could also get involved in abusing drugs more readily than men, and therefore are more predisposed to illness because of dependency problems than males because of this. Because of responsibilities in their home, women also tend to postpone trying to find and receiving care for addiction, a circumstance which can be a catalyst for disaster.
