People with TRICARE will naturally be required to obtain a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of treatment service, which is often arranged using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility is the favored rehab choice, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits concerning the length of time a TRICARE member can stay in the inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which may be very useful, as it may help include family members in the healing and recovery process.
